Ukulele lessons
for every level.
One-on-one ukulele instruction for beginners through advanced players. Strumming, fingerpicking, chord changes, and your favorite songs — learn the way that fits you.
What we cover
Everything a ukulele player needs
Strumming & rhythm
The strumming patterns that define ukulele — from the classic island groove to syncopated and palm-muted patterns that give your playing movement and feel.
Chords & smooth changes
Open chords, moveable shapes, and the transitions between them — building the muscle memory to switch cleanly and keep your strumming hand going.
Fingerpicking & fingerstyle
Picking patterns and melodic fingerstyle arrangements that let you play melody and accompaniment at once — the next step beyond strumming.
Ear training
Learning to hear chord changes and progressions by ear so you can figure out songs on your own and play along confidently with others.
Songs you actually want to play
Pop, folk, Hawaiian, and classic standards — we build your repertoire around music you love so practice never feels like a chore.
Music theory for ukulele
How chords, keys, and scales work on the ukulele neck so you understand what you are playing, not just memorizing shapes.

Common questions
Before you sign up
What size ukulele should I get?
Soprano and concert sizes are the most popular for beginners, while tenor and baritone offer a fuller sound. We can help you pick the right size for your hands and the music you want to play.
Is the ukulele easy to learn?
It is one of the easiest instruments to start on. With just a handful of chords most students are playing recognizable songs within the first few lessons.
Do I need a ukulele before my first lesson?
No. Come in and talk to us first. We carry instruments in the store and can help you find the right one without spending money on the wrong thing.
How old do students need to be?
The ukulele's small size makes it one of the best first instruments for young children, often as early as age 5-6. It is equally rewarding for adults of any age.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. Get in touch with your instructor as early as possible and we will work with you.
Can I learn fingerpicking, not just strumming?
Absolutely. Once you are comfortable with chords and rhythm, we move into fingerpicking and fingerstyle arrangements so you can play melody and accompaniment together.
