Everything a pianist needs

Technique & posture
Proper hand position, fingering, scales, and exercises that build real facility at the keys — the foundation everything else rests on.
Music reading
Reading sheet music, treble and bass clef, rhythm, dynamics, and notation — so you can pick up any piece and learn it yourself.
Music theory
Chords, keys, scales, intervals, and harmony. Piano is one of the best instruments for understanding how music works — we take full advantage of that.
Ear training
Developing your ear — recognizing intervals, chord qualities, and melodies by sound. It connects what you hear to what you play.
Real repertoire
Classical, jazz, pop, or whatever genre excites you. Lessons stay engaging because you're working toward music you actually want to perform.
Improvisation & chords
Playing by ear, chord charts, and free improvisation. Especially valuable for students interested in jazz, contemporary, or playing with others.

Where do you start?

What makes lessons here different

How we teach
01
Your music, not a preset curriculum
Lessons are built around what you want to play. You'll work on actual songs you care about, not just exercises in a generic method book.
02
One-on-one the whole time
Every lesson is private. Your instructor's full attention is on you — your questions, your technique, your progress.
03
Progress you can hear
We track what you've worked on after every lesson in the student portal so you always know where you're headed next.
Why piano specifically
The best instrument for understanding music
The keyboard lays out music theory visually in a way no other instrument does. Students who learn piano often pick up other instruments faster too.
Works across every genre
Classical, jazz, pop, blues, church music, film scores — the piano is fluent in all of it. We teach the style you love.
Great for all ages
We teach kids as young as 5 and adults returning to piano after decades. It's never too early or too late to start.
5 instructors. One great fit for you.
Our piano faculty covers classical, jazz, contemporary, and everything in between. All skill levels and ages welcome — we'll match you with the right person.

Before you sign up

Do I need to own a piano before starting?
No. You can start lessons and practice on a digital keyboard in the meantime. We can help you find the right instrument once you're ready — we carry keyboards and pianos in the store.
How old do students need to be?
We teach students as young as 5 years old. Piano is one of the most age-friendly instruments to start on, and we also love working with adults who are coming back to music after years away.
How often do lessons happen?
Most students take weekly lessons. Consistency is important for steady progress, especially early on. We'll help you pick a recurring time that fits your schedule.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. Get in touch with your instructor as early as possible and we will work with you.
Will I learn to read sheet music?
Yes — reading music is a core part of piano lessons. That said, if your goal is primarily playing by ear or learning from chord charts, we can tailor lessons to focus on that too.
