Trelles

David Trelles is an up-and-coming violinist in the Twin Cities area. He received his Bachelor's in Violin Performance from the University of Minnesota and his Master's Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Now in his twentieth year of playing, David brings two decades of musical experience to everything he teaches.

David has been teaching violin students of all ages — privately and in groups — for eight years. He was instrumental in founding the Mariachi Violin Program at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, bringing violin instruction to his community in a welcoming, collaborative setting.

David has performed professionally as a soloist and chamber musician for over a decade. Recently, he won a first violin position in the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra — the kind of real-world performance experience he draws on in every lesson.

David is committed to the idea that everyone is capable of learning to play music, and that anyone who desires to learn should be free to do so in a positive, nurturing environment. Whether you're a first-time beginner or a returning player, his studio is built around encouragement and steady progress.
