Everything a wind player needs

Tone production
Building a full, consistent sound through proper embouchure, air support, and breath control — the foundation for every wind instrument.
Scales & technique
Major, minor, and chromatic scales, articulation, and the technical exercises that translate directly to better playing in band and solo settings.
Music reading
Reading standard notation, rhythmic counting, dynamics, and musical markings — essential for school band and ensemble playing.
Ear training
Developing intonation and pitch awareness. Wind instruments require constant listening and adjustment — we train this skill deliberately.
Repertoire & styles
Classical, jazz, marching, and concert band repertoire. Lessons connect to what you are actually playing in school or performing on your own.
Instrument care
Proper assembly, maintenance, and care for your instrument. Small habits make a big difference in how your instrument plays and how long it lasts.

What makes lessons here different

How we teach
01
Your goals drive the lesson
Whether you need help with school band music or want to explore solo repertoire, lessons are tailored to what you actually need.
02
One-on-one the whole time
Every lesson is private. Your instructor focuses entirely on your tone, technique, and progress.
03
Progress you can track
Lesson notes live in the student portal after every session so you and your parents always know what to work on.
Why private lessons help band students
Get more out of school band
Private lessons build the fundamentals that group rehearsals don't have time to address. Students with private lessons almost always move up in chair rankings.
Catch problems before they stick
Bad habits in embouchure or technique are much easier to fix early. A good instructor spots them before they become permanent.
Works for all ages and instruments
We teach elementary students just starting out through adults returning to an instrument they played decades ago.
Specialists on every instrument.
Our wind and brass instructors cover clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, and more. All skill levels welcome.

Before you sign up

Which instruments do you teach?
We offer lessons on clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, French horn, saxophone, and other common band instruments. Call or email us if you have a specific instrument in mind.
My child is in school band — will lessons help?
Absolutely. Private lessons directly complement school band. Students who take lessons consistently almost always improve faster and move up in chair placement.
Do I need to own the instrument first?
No — we can help you figure out what to get. We also offer instrument rentals in the store, which is a great low-risk option for students just starting out.
How old do students need to be?
Most students start band instruments around age 9-10, which is when school programs typically begin. We are happy to work with younger students on a case-by-case basis.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. Get in touch with your instructor as early as possible and we will work with you.
Can adults learn band instruments?
Yes, and many do. Adults returning to an instrument they played in school often progress quickly. It is never too late to pick it back up.
